No problem :D

You really have Jim, webmaster of the Stamford Police Association in Connecticut, to thank. ;)

He also passed along some trivia about the Police patch:

  • The center of the patch incorporates the Seal of the City of Stamford (which was settled in 1641)
  • The boat represents the mode of travel settlers took from England
  • The "Lions and Checks" are the crest of Lincolnshire, England - where Stamford is located
  • The "Indian and Settler" represent the population at the time the English settled the town
  • The "Gristmill in the Wheatfield" represents the first industrial development in Stamford
  • The "Keys" represent Yale & Towne Lock Company, which was Stamford's largest employer in 1914, when the seal was adopted.

Enjoy!

Thanks for that Scott, the trivia was interesting to read and I must add that info to the patch website.
I will email Jim now and thank him.

All the best
